Today's discussion is a difficult one and it's best left to the audio in my podcast. To that end, I'm not going to write the transcript here. Instead, I'll provide a brief summary of what's covered:
The ongoing conflict between the Israeli government and Hamas is a very challenging discussion under any circumstances; Add the latest violent attacks on both sides to the (already heated) discussion, and you have a recipe for an impossible conversation steeped in emotional trauma.
While this topic isn't an easy one to discuss, its necessary that we are resilient enough to fight for the survival and safety of those in immediate danger, while showing up to the discussions to encourage love and support for the innocent lives being lost on a daily basis.
Choose humanity over sides. Demand peace over violence. Send love and support the Jewish and Palestinian communities. Stand up for those who don't have access to food and water. Demand your government defund war and weaponry.
Above all, demand a ceasefire.
